Regarding: Meeting with Mr. Eliades, Managing Director Pafilia
- The meeting was arranged in order to inform Mr. Eliades that we are not pleased with the support of his organisation. Since March 2008 we are without an architect and many construction details are unresolved and lead to significant errors (see snagging list on the web).
- Mr Eliades pointed out, that we should not worry. We have a contract and if the villa is not build according to specifications it will be solved at Pafilias expense.
- I disagreed with his response, it is too simple and we invest too much money only to wait for a surprise at the end. Also:
- The villa was planned on a high level. At contract signature it was agreed, that we will be doing detailing as the construction progresses.
- Some issues arrise during the course of the project, e.g. because it turns out that some assumptions prove not to be practical. To resolve the matter we need a subject matter expert to talk to.
- Some errors would be very difficult to fix at the end of the project as they relate to the overall construction of the villa
- How can we agree on (paid for) upgrades if we don´t even know the details at this point
- Resources (Pafila and ours) are wasted. Internal departments (e.g. costing) produce the wrong costing as they “assume” what is meant in the architectural plans. This source of error is annoying for everyone involved.
- We bought and pay for a custom build villa. Pafilia should live up to its advertising and treat customers respectively.
- Mr. Eliades said that customer satisfaction is his ultimate goal. He promised to look into this matter and get back to me next week.
