Pipes and Drainage is one key issue when building a house in Cyprus. Because most pipes are build into concrete, a leak is a never ending story. So far it looks like Pafilia pays close attention to this topic.
Sewerage: Our property has no connections to a central city sewerage pipe. The city of Peyia is planning a central sewerage system, however for the time being our wastewater will go into a septic-tank. However, Pafelia promised to build our septic-tank system so it can easily be connected to the city sewerage system in the future.
What kind of pipe is the one with the blue colour? We were wondering for a few days, if it was connected properly (see detail photo). Today Takis told me the little secret: It is just an air-pipe. This has nothing to do with water (hopefully...). This pipe helps to keep the air fresh because the sewerage/waste water has a long way from the bathroom to the septic-tank.

Pafilia subcontracted our bathroom enclosures to Konikkos, a shower specialist in Pafos. Mr. Charalambos Dionysiou, the Managing Director, paid attention to every detail of the shower cabinets. The result was perfect, 100 points! Visit www.shower.com.cy/ for details.
